		<description>I stumbled upon your post and decided to help out -- running in compatibility mode is not recommended.  bad things happen - including security issues.

the more appropriate method is as follows: 

1. start skype

2. go to tools --&gt; options --&gt; advanced.

3. uncheck Keep Skype in the taskbar while I&#039;m signed in.

4. OK... done
